Produced by Shankar under the banner of Jyothi Films Factory the film is about an event that takes places on a rainy night which changes the life of a beautiful young girl.Vaibhav and Sara are in the lead. The movie also stars Shakeela, Suman Shetty, Gundu Hanumanta Rao, Melkote. Targeted at the youth, the story is gripping and full of suspense. Cinematographer Vidyanand is said to have brought a special look to the film- one that will wow the audience.

AA ANTHASTHULO

This is a suspense thriller similar to that dished out by Ram Gopal Varma. The story is about a village girl who lives as a tenant in the top floor of a bungalow.The problems she faces and the way she copes is the crux of the story. Tarzan plays a black magic practitioner in the film. G Y Giri is the producer of the film. Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Kallu Chidambaram and Sravani are also part of the cast.

AVM VARI LEADER

After his blockbuster film Happy days, Shekar Kammula is back with his movie Leader.Newcomer Rana is the hero of the film. The movie has been facing some controversy regarding it's trailer which had recorded voices of MLAs and hence a censor certificate was not seeing the light of day. But now that filmmakers have decided to delete those potentially contentious sequences the film is all set to hit the screens.The film's name initially faced rough waters and a petition was filed in that regard at the film chambers. The makers of the movie were forced to change the name to AVM vari Leader.

HOLIDAYS

Holidays, starring Bhargavi (Ashta Chemma fame) was made under the RCM Cine Chitra banner. The story, screenplay and direction is by SS Kumar. The producer of the film is A Ramireddy while debutant Sivanag is the hero. The film is a youthful love story with a difference. Sivanag plays a student who has just passed out of college. A group of such students go on a journey. What happens during that journey forms the plot of the movie. The film was largely shot at Araku Valley and Vizag and some parts in Palakollu area. In a first, Ramireddy, the producer, plans to share 25 per cent of the film's profits equally among the cast and crew. The cast also includes Pingpong (Surya), Adhiti, Prudhvi and Hamsi. The dialogues are written by Ramaswami and the cinematography has been done by Kalyan Sami.

ANGADI THERU

Vasantha Balan the director of the hit film Veyil is all set to release his long pending Angadi Theru. The film has newcomer Mahesh in the lead, opposite Anjali of Kattradhu Thamizh fame.The film is being produced by Ayngaran International and is basically a love story between a salesgirl and salesboy working in a saree store in Chennai. G.V.Prakash is once again showcasing his musical talents with Vasantha Balan, with whom he worked so mellifluously on the tracks for Veyil. Only this time he shares the musical credits with Vijay Antony.

KONDITHOPPU SUBBU

Padmashree awardee, comedian Vivek plays the lead role in Kondithoppu Subbu, a comedy film. Vivek has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. The actor had previously tried his hand at playing hero but his films Panju and Solli Adippan haven't yet seen the light of day. For Vivek, comedy is serious business. He swears by Nadigavel Radha's brand of comedy and believes his own style to be similar. The film has been directed by Saravana Sakthi. "It's a mix of comedy, action and thriller," says Vivek.

JAGGUBHAI

CAST : Sarath Kumar, Goundamani-Senthil, Shriya

The film which was to star Rajnikant now stars Sarath Kumar and Shriya Saran. Shriya who had a successful run with Sivaji and Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, also attempted to make it big in Bollywood. The film has a woman centered script. A doting father who cares for his daughter and the travails he faces thereof.

Jagannathan, (Sarath Kumar) fondly known as Jaggubhai is an ideal police officer. His way of dealing the criminals strikes terror in the underground world. Jaggubhai is sent to Australia on an important mission to deal with anti social elements there. In Australia, Jaggubhai meets Meena (Srisha) and they both fall in love with each other. After having failed in his mission, his romance with Meena goes kaput and he returns to India. After plodding on for twenty years, he recieves a call from Australia stating that Meena is dead and has left him something. He reaches Australia and is shocked to know that the brief encounter with Meena had resulted in a daughter Nikki (Shriya Saran), now a teenager. Jaggubhai finds himself dutibound to save his daughter from goons who had long ago created trouble for him too. So he meets his former colleague Mani (Goundamani) and with his help he overcomes the crisis and eventually finds out why Meena left him and the reason for bringing him back into his daughter's life. Sarathkumar's home production company Radaan Mediaworks and Zee Motion Pictures collaborate to produce the film.

VAADA

CAST: Sundar C, Geeta Basra, Jayaram,Sheryll Brindo

Sundar C's much delayed Vaada is finally ready to hit the screens. The film directed by A Venkatesh will hit the screens soon. Produced by Mohan Radha, the movie has Sheryl Brindo opposite Sundar. It is a typical action oriented commercial movie and has all the staple ingredients to make it a success. There is an unexpected twist in the climax which in fact could keep the audience guessing till the very end. Vivek brings in some cheerful comedy by imitating Suruli Rajan. Produced by Mohan Radha, the film is a laugh riot peppered with adequate action and romance. The film also includes a remix song Ennadi Rakkamma Pallakku (from Pattikkaada Pattinama, the Sivaji-Jayalalitha starrer of the 70s). The specialty of this remix song of Vaada is that Khushbu, Sundar C's wife, has a guest appearance in it.

MALAYALAM

BLACK STALLION

CAST: Kalabhavan Mani, Namitha, Bala, Rajan P.Dev, Ashish Vidhyarthi,Kiranraj, Jayan

Namitha, the glamour queen of the south is making her foray into Mollywood as the female lead with the movie Black Stallion. Kalabhavan Mani is the hero in this film by the Pramod- Pappan duo. Bala plays an important role too. Rumours are afloat that Namitha has been most sought after by the Mollywood directors and she has been paid a whopping twenty five lakhs as remuneration for this. This is her first Malayalam movie. The movie is scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman and produced by Jagadheesh Chandran under the banner of Kichu Films. The film was delayed due to the slow progress of the duo's big-budget Musafir which will also hit the screens soon.

MUSAFIR

CAST: Rahman, Mamta, Bala

MUSIC DIRECTOR: Ouseppachen, M.G. Radha Krishnan, Shahbas Aman, Balabhasker

This is the Pramod-Pappan duo's biggest budget venture yet and has had many problems assailing it in the process of the shooting. Musafir produced by Suneer Hamsa under the banner of Indis Creations with Rahman, Bala and Mamta in the lead roles.The film is a musical action thriller and has six songs, the music has been composed by four musicians: Ouseppachen, M.G. Radhakrishnan, Shahbas Aman and Balabhasker. After making a comeback in Malayalam movies with Black in 2004, noted south Indian actor Rahman has bagged a solo hero role after a long period; Mamta Mohandas also returns to Malayalam films as heroine after a long gap. Actor Bala has an equally important role in this film, which has already completed shooting in Dubai, London and Cyprus.

PLUS TWO

The plus two students of a school live together in a villa owned by Prince, whose parents live abroad. Prince has his villa open to his friends to enjoy life at its fullest. Their servant Lalappan, a movie fan, entertains them with his film-crazed antics and is a joy to them in their hours of leisure. Into this ideal life arrives Meenakshi and her paralysed mother. Meenakshi in search of her elder sister Parvathy, who had abandoned the family years ago to elope with her lover. Her only clue is the address to the villa in which Prince and his friends reside.

The boys instantly take pity on the family and provide them with shelter. After the mother dies Meenakshi is left all alone. The boys help Meenakshi find her missing sister. It's basically a coming of age tale narrated in an interesting and entertaining manner.

NIRAKAZHCHA

CAST: Mamta Mohandas, Vincenzo Bocciarelli

DIRECTOR: Anjeesh J. Karinad

Mamta Mohandas it seems is back in the groove after a long hiatus. She now stars opposite Italian heart-throb Vincenzo Bocciarelli in this film based on the life and times of the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma. Vincenzo Bocciarelli plays the role of an Italian painter, Lorenzo Fabruo, who is a great admirer of Raja Ravi Varma's paintings, and falls in love with one of his models (essayed by Mamta). Nirakazhchza basically means ?in love with' and represents the love that Lorenzo has with all things Kerala. This is Aneesh J Karinad's debut movie as director. The screenplay for the film has

been written by Daisy Chacko and is being produced by Global Movie makers and Tourism Movie Makers. The name of the music director has been kept under wraps as the directors want it to be a surprise. The film is being shot simultaneously in several languages including Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Spanish, Russian, German, Italian and Arabic.
