Letters - JAde

Jade

LettersI have been reading Jade right from its launch issue. And I can see how beautifully it has grown. Each passing issue has been a revelation in terms of content, design and quality of work put in. Being a south Indian but never having lived down south, Jade has helped me connect with my roots in a big way. Be it the traditional temple jewellery or the success story of Oscar winner Resul Pookutty, I have connected with Jade in more ways than one. The stories are varied, engaging and delightful.

There is so much south Indianness to the magazine and yet doesn't feel like a south India focused magazine. And I say this because it covers a spectrum of people, places, events and happenings that anyone can associate with. It's remarkable that there are so many talented south Indians out there we don't know of. Kudos to the Jade team for bringing them in the limelight. Lastly, I am planning a month long south trip with my husband and I must thank Jade for carrying the road travel series as we can plan our itinerary based on it.

Jade LettersThank you for bringing out such an outstanding magazine, my best wishes to the entire Jade team for all your forthcoming issues and hope you continue the good work!

I just finished reading your March Issue...front to back and was taking out time to write to JADE about the wonderful issue, and there it was on my coffee table... the April Issue. I then decided that I have to write in and tell you guys that your magazine is an absolute delight for a reader. 'WOW' is the only word I can use to describe your issue. Truly Superb!! I couldn't put it down.

I was pleasantly surprised by the contents in the magazine. Where do I start... I loved everything about your magazine. Your article 'Spa Bound' and 'Calorie Conscious' was awesome. After reading your article on 'All Souk Up', I have a desire to visit Dubai, Surely Souk is not a mall but indeed a historic market.

Congratulations to the team for bringing out yet another fantastic issue.

I think to dedicate a whole issue to fitness was a brilliant idea. The value of being fit is underestimated by those who are healthy, only when we are rendered immobile by illness do we realize its value. I suffered a paralytic stroke in 2006 and it was sheer willpower to be back on my feet that got me going. Today I do not miss my one and a half hour walks, whatever the reason and that has kept me going. Give us more such stories. God bless.

One keeps hearing of diets and eating right all the time, but the information overload can be quite confusing for lay people like me. At the end of it all I've come to the conclusion that one should eat healthy foods, give into one's cravings once in a while, not eat till one feels heavy, drink lots of water and eat small portions. This has worked for me and Im sure it will work for a lot of you like me.
