Jade Letters - January 2010

Jade Letter's - January 2010

I have been occasionally picking up issues of Jade and I must say it is a really glossy magazine. Much as I enjoy looking at and reading about all the wonderful gizmos and accessories (some of which cost lakhs and lakhs of rupees), I can't help but think, how often do I bring out my expensive watches

(all two of them) and flaunt them? I would be happy to read more about people from the south who have made it big with a lot of struggle. I would also look forward to some very down-t-earth yet attractive accessories that don?t necessarily break my bank. Having said that with a year having passed (as I read in your November issue), Congratulations. With each passing month Jade seems to get stronger.

PREMA SUBRAMANIAM, BANGALORE

The Party special issue has the perfect cocktail of stories to ring out the old and bring in the new. The story on the newsmakers of 2009 is a great read. Young and old, these achievers have truly put India on the map in more ways than one. MPs like Mohammed Azharuddian are the change we are looking for to take the nation to greener pastures. And of course, Oscar winners AR Rahman and Resul Pookutty have created history in Indian cinema. The south is replete with talent and Jade does complete justice to it. Each issue with a unique theme is what makes Jade a fabulous lifestyle magazine.

ANAND RAMAKRISHNAN, CHENNAI

I enjoyed reading the entrepreneur stories. It was particulary interesting to read about VSS Mani and his journey to Just Dial. He is a benchmark for all south Indians who want to set up their own business ventures in an otherwise competing economy. Please do give us more such stories that encourages the youth to follow their passion. It is an inpsiring lesson for all budding entreprenuers.

AMIT J, BOMBAY

I was pleasantly surprised to find a story on Weekend Getaways. I am planning a trip down south with my husband. Jade will be my guide to plan out our itinerary. Thank you so much for publishing such rare-to-find travel stories.
